First of all, let me introduce myself and my restaurant to Asheville, NC. My name is Kraig Martin and I am the owner/operator of Martin’s Pizza & Pasta. I opened my doors on July 10, 2007 and have been on non-stop journey since then slowly transforming my restaurant into what I consider one of Asheville’s newest, friendliest, affordable family restaurants in town. I have made it my goal to provide Asheville’s individuals and families with a warm, friendly, affordable place to bring their friends and family to enjoy what many customers are already claiming to be the best pizza in Asheville. Martin’s Pizza & Pasta is known as the “Home of the Square Pizza.” Square pizza you ask? Yes, square. Not only are they square, but they are not covered with mozzarella cheese like most traditional pizzerias use. Our pizzas are smothered with a flavorful smoked provolone cheese that adds a whole new dimension to traditional pizzas. In addition to the cheese and shape, our crust is a flakey pie-like crust that is rolled to order. Yes, rolled to order. Our dough is not like some of our competitors’ that purchase it already made and pre-formed sitting in a refrigerator waiting on your order. We make batches of fresh dough throughout the day and do not have it sitting on shelves or being held in a cooler waiting for you to place an order. Lastly, not only is our dough rolled to order and made fresh throughout the day, but our pizza sauce is the secret to our great tasting pizza. Unlike a lot of our competitors, we do not purchase already made pizza sauce “fresh” out of a can ready to go. Our sauce is made here on the property using vine-ripened fresh peeled tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh onions, and of course, a multitude of secret herbs and spices that all get cooked together for hours in our own kitchen . This whole process is what makes our sauce so uniquely Martin’s.

So, once you’ve placed your pizza order, we roll out the fresh dough, place it in our uniquely squared pizza pan, covered with our rich, homemade sauce, smoother it with our smoked provolone cheese, then top it with a variety of tasty ingredients that you can choose from. One of which is our THICK pepperoni. Our pepperoni is so thick, we can’t buy it already sliced. Therefore we have to buy three foot long sticks of whole pepperoni and slice it ourselves.”

Here at Martin'sPizza and Pasta, it's not often that I personally don't stop by your table to say hello and to see how everything is. It's my goal to make sure every experience you have at my restaurant is a pleasant one. If it's not, please let me know. Reservations - Not required at Martin's for general seating, we are a first come first serve restaurant. However, if you have a larger group, it is recommended that you call ahead so we can plan for your arrival and set up any special tables to accommodate your group. And if you have a really large group or would like to reserve our private party room, you will need to call ahead and make advance reservations for that area.

Patio- Take full advantage of Asheville's great weather and enjoy eating outside at Martin's. Not only do we have outdoor seating, but it's covered. I've taken great steps to enhance the outdoor seating environment by adding giant ferns and planters with live plants and flowers. This area too can be reserved for your large group or party. There is an outside smoking area available, but the rest of the restaurant and bar remain smoke free.

Catering- Martin'sPizza and Pasta proudly announces our great pasta, salads, sub platters, and uniquely delicious pizza are available for your next function or gathering. Our catering menu has something for everyone, try our delicious Penne Pasta with Chicken, Sausage, or Eggplant or our unique pizza topped with veggies, or a combination of our great tasting meats. Your guest will thank you for serving food from Martin's Pizza and Pasta. Catering items are available for either pickup or delivery.
